Brief History

Macarthur Worship Centre was started at 7 Hope Street, Harrington Park, in the home of Pastors Jack & Mary-Margaret Morris.  Our first service was on Sunday, 3 November 2002.  The charter members of MWC consisted of 7 adults and 6 youth.

Four months after MWC was started, the congregation rented the Harrington Park school hall.  Then in July of 2005 the congregation leased the Church of God Ministry Training Centre in Campbelltown.  Following that we conducted services in Event Cinemas at Macarthur Square for 3 years, 8 months.  Currently our Sunday services are conducted at the Narellan Salvation Army Church premises.

A youth ministry was started by Frederick and Jacqueline Kesner in December 2000 in a home in Campbelltown. After Campbelltown Church of God was organized, this group became a part of that church. Later, when Macarthur Worship Centre was organized, the youth became an integral part in helping us establish the church.  They became involved in leadership and in every facet of ministry.  We will always be grateful to them for accepting responsibility and working so diligently.

Motto–  Each one, win one

Vision

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).

The Plan of Salvation

Admit to God that you are a sinner.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Believe in Jesus Christ as Savior of the world and your Savior.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
Confess your sins to Jesus Christ and ask for His forgiveness.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)
